About me

Hello! My name is Bella and I am a fourth-year Integrated Sciences major with minors in Writing and Sustainability at the University of Denver. I’m originally from Park City, Utah and my childhood was filled with wild adventures accompanied by my late golden retriever, Finnegan. Growing up in a beautiful, outdoor-oriented town fostered my deep love for animals and the environment. My academic career is driven by my passion for animal conservation and effective science communication practices. Recently, I have begun Independent Research identifying citizen science initiatives in apicultural studies at the University. Although science writing is my primary focus, I also enjoy creative writing projects and social justice exposés. I’m especially fascinated by exploring the mysterious and hidden aspects of life, like dreaming and consciousness. I often integrate my own dreams into my stories or characters and I hope the audience finds themselves lost in a new world of creativity or mysticism.
